This very unique motif shows diamond-shaped flowers at the center, combined with arabesque and chrysanthemum flower patterns. The ever-growing arabesque represents family prosperity, and the chrysanthemum spreads good luck.
The distinctive “trimming line” technique used in Ako-dantsu rug-making can express this design very beautifully, and as such this is one of the finest designs in Ako-dantsu rugs.
